Anca graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Philosophy of Iasi, the department of Social Assistance. She joined Close to You Foundation's team since its establishment in 2002, first as a volunteer, then as social assistant, providing advice and support to HIV/AIDS infected and affected people. In 2004, she developed and coordinated the Youth Club programme that brought together both children and young people from all social backgrounds.

For 15 years, she has been coordinating projects, such as: “Information, counselling and legal assistance for HIV-infected people (project designed to support HIV/AIDS-infected and affected people in order to gain and respect their rights), “It's time for a change” (project designed to disabled people's integration on the labour market and to changing the employers' standing regarding this category of people), “Alliance for the development of the social economy” (project designed to train and professionally integrate disabled people).

The motto that guides Anca's activity is a quote of American writer Langston Hughes:

Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly”.

For Anca, ADV is not just a job, but a place where she has the opportunity to grow and develop professionally, a place where she enjoys going every day and a team of professionals that she is proud to belong to!
