Ramona Marian
Co-manager UtilDeco / JobDirect
Ramona joined the ADV Romania team in 2007 as a psychologist, after having activated for 2 years as a volunteer within the organization.
Throughout time, Ramona had the opportunity to coordinate or to take part in many beautiful projects addressing teenagers and young people: “Solidarity takes the shape of the heart”, a project financed by the European Commission through the Youth in Action project (October – December 2010), “Direct Impact!” – project implemented in partnership with Caritas Norway organization and financed through the SEE 2009 – 2014 grants within the NGO fund in Romania (April 2015 – March 2016) or “Opportunities for teenagers”, model implemented with the technical and financial support of UNICEF Romania during 2014 – 2017.
“In the 10 years, I spent around teenagers and young people I improved myself, both as an individual and as a professional. I feel a tremendous energy and potential to change the world that young people have is also part of me and for that, I am incredibly thankful. I am equally thankful to the amazing team I am part of, offering me every day the opportunity to use my knowledge and passion and who constantly offer me new perspectives to grow and develop. As for myself, I am best characterized by the word “balance”, because I am permanently searching for it and projecting it in all the aspects of my life, strongly believing that this is one of the secrets of a fulfilled life.”
Currently, other than the activity of psychological assistance and counselling for beneficiaries of the foundation, Ramona is also coordinating the voluntarism program and develops training, workshops and information and prevention activities in the field of health education (including sexual education) addressing young people, teenagers and children, parents and specialists in different fields.
Ramona graduated in 2007 from the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University from Iasi. She took Master’s studies in the field of “Staff training, assessment and psychological evaluation” within the same university, followed by a programme in post-graduate studies in Social Economy in the field of social and political sciences at the Department of Philosophy within the same university during the period June – July 2013. Since psychology is her biggest passion, our colleague is currently attending a program of training in Cognitive and Behavioral Psycho-therapy.
