FELICIA RELENSCHI – GENERAL MANAGER, AFIN IFN

With over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Felicia Relenschi is a dedicated professional driven by the belief that finance can create value not only in the economy, but also in society. Her career includes leadership roles within both banking and non-banking financial institutions, such as Motoractive IFN – part of GE Money Romania, Patria Credit IFN, and Patria Bank.

Throughout her journey, she has led diverse teams and complex projects in areas such as microfinance, agricultural finance, and leasing, developing a strategic vision on how finance can support entrepreneurship, innovation, and especially social impact.

Her academic background reflects this strategic and international orientation: she holds a degree from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK. She has also completed advanced leadership and management programs through General Electric.

Her transition into the social economy sector was a natural evolution, inspired by a genuine desire to contribute to projects that create long-term value for communities. Felicia found in AFIN IFN SA not only an innovative financial model, but also a community of committed people — investors and social entrepreneurs alike — united by shared values: solidarity, sustainability, and social responsibility. Today, as General Manager of AFIN IFN, the first financial institution in Romania founded by social entrepreneurs for social entrepreneurs, she plays a key role in building a new kind of financial institution — one that puts people and impact at the core of its mission.

What motivates her most is the opportunity to merge her extensive experience in mainstream finance with her passion for sustainable development, in an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and real support for mission-driven enterprises. She is also actively involved in the work of the Social Finance Association, contributing to the implementation of numerous projects dedicated to the social economy.

Felicia sees herself as a lifelong learner, constantly trying to grow both professionally and personally, while maintaining a healthy balance between the two. She values working alongside inspired people who share the same ideals and believes that real change comes from concrete actions and the courage to do things differently – more responsible, more empathetic and more connected to the real needs of society.
