RAMONA MARIAN – JOBDIRECT MANAGER / EUROPEAN PROJECT COORDINATOR / PSYCHOLOGIST

Ramona joined the ADV Romania team in 2007 as a psychologist, after two years of volunteering within the organization. Over time, she has strengthened her expertise in the field of social and professional inclusion, adopting an approach that combines psychological insight with the innovative solutions offered by social economy.

Since 2016, she has coordinated the activity of JobDirect – the Job Placement and On-the-Job Support Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the only social enterprise of its kind in Romania.

Through her involvement and the commitment of the JobDirect team, the agency has become a national benchmark and an integrated “one-stop-shop” intervention model, offering personalized support both to persons with disabilities and those from vulnerable groups, as well as to employers interested in workplace inclusion and diversity.

“I believe that true inclusion starts when we look beyond labels. At JobDirect, we work with both people with disabilities who are capable of bringing real value to the labor market, and with employers who understand the importance of diversity. Our role is to facilitate their connection, and our greatest satisfaction comes when the team’s empathy and professionalism lead to real and lasting changes in people’s lives.”

Since 2007, Ramona has also been actively involved in the development and promotion of sustainable solutions proposed by ADV Romania for the employment of people with disabilities and the social and professional integration of young people in vulnerable situations. By participating in over 20 national and European projects, she has supported the implementation of pilot initiatives with tangible community impact, contributing to the testing and validation of models that can be replicated and scaled at national or European level. Among them are the innovative project “JobDirect for NEETs within the ALMA Initiative!”, which provided NEET young people from Romania with internship and professional development experiences in workplaces in Italy, and “B-WISE”, a strategic European initiative focused on identifying and developing the digital and transversal skills needed by employees in work integration social enterprises (WISEs).

Ramona holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology, as well as a postgraduate program in Social Economy, all completed at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași. She is specialized in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and holds several relevant professional certifications, including Social Enterprise Manager and Trainer. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in the development of practical guides and applied research focused on social inclusion and the development of the social economy.
