About the project:

The purpose of the Community Center for Children and Families from Ukraine is to serve 300 Ukrainian refugees temporarily residing in Iași County through a comprehensive set of services that ensure sustainable improvement of their quality of life during their stay in Romania: legal consultation and assistance, social counseling, psychological support and emotional support, employment integration (information, counseling and vocational or professional guidance, professional training programs, mediation and employment in the labor market), and non-formal education workshops for development and successful integration of children, youth, and adults.

Objectives:

  • Increasing the integration capacity of at least 300 Ukrainian refugee citizens in Iași County, by accessing comprehensive services including information, guidance, legal and social counseling, emotional support, and employment within the host community, over a period of 12 months.
  • Enhancing the socio-cultural and educational adaptability of at least 200 Ukrainian citizens, including children and youth, refugees in Iași County, by ensuring their access to social, educational, recreational, and cultural activities that facilitate inclusion and tolerance among citizens, over a period of 12 months.
  • Developing and promoting a new model of integrated services to facilitate the social, economic, and educational inclusion of Ukrainian refugees within host communities through partnership and inter-organizational collaboration, over a period of 12 months.

Additionally, the project aims to support beneficiaries in addressing a set of real needs: the need for assistance and support in making informed decisions, the need for access to services and support that ensure sustainability through integration into the labor market and reduce dependency on social aid, and the need for focused attention on individuals with specific needs.
