About the project:

EU4UA: A Comprehensive One-Stop Service for Refugees! is a European project designed to support the social and labour market integration of Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Romania and across the European Union.

The project responds to the long-term social consequences of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine by developing a practical, evidence-based blueprint for integrated support services. This blueprint will help organisations, public institutions, social economy actors and professionals work in a more coordinated way, so that Ukrainian families seeking safety can access the right support for rebuilding their lives, entering the labour market and becoming active members of their host communities.

At its core, EU4UA is about moving from fragmented support to a more connected model of care, guidance and socio-professional integration. The project brings together research, field experience, social innovation and cross-sector cooperation to create a solution that can be tested, improved and adapted in different European contexts.

Project objectives:

The main objective of EU4UA is to develop, pilot and disseminate an innovative and evidence-based blueprint that supports the social and labour market integration of Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Romania and across the EU.

The project aims to:

  • map existing support models, services and practices for Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Romania
  • identify gaps, needs and effective approaches in social and professional integration
  • design a multi-stakeholder blueprint for integrated services
  • test the blueprint with Ukrainian refugees and specialists working in the field
  • improve the blueprint based on feedback, evaluation and practical use
  • share the final resource with organisations, institutions, policymakers and European networks
  • support stronger cooperation between public, private and civil society actors working with refugee communities

Expected results:
By the end of the project, EU4UA will deliver:

  • a research report on support models, services and needs in Poland and Romania
  • a practical blueprint for integrated services supporting Ukrainian refugees
  • focus group reports from Poland and Romania
  • a pilot and evaluation report with key findings and recommendations
  • communication materials, articles and online updates
  • multiplier events and a webinar to promote the final blueprint
  • a final blueprint available in multiple languages, including English, Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian, Spanish and Ukrainian

Expected impact:
EU4UA aims to improve the way communities and institutions respond to the needs of Ukrainian refugees.

The project will contribute to:

  • better coordination between organisations, public institutions and social economy actors
  • stronger support pathways for Ukrainian refugees entering the labour market
  • improved tools for specialists working with refugee communities
  • wider access to practical knowledge and tested methods
  • stronger policy dialogue on integrated refugee support
  • a more coherent European response to long-term integration needs

The final blueprint will remain available as an open and adaptable resource for organisations and institutions interested in improving their support services for people with refugee experience.
