Between June 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024, ADV Romania implements the SEEDing Enterprising for Tomorrow project. The aim of the project is to increase the competitiveness of 100 social enterprises in Romania, mainly in ICT and green industry.

The first meeting of the project partners took place online on July 7, 2023.

The activities dedicated to social enterprises will start in October and include a series of physical and online trainings, study visits to Romania and Norway, events connecting social enterprises with Romanian companies.

SEEDing aims to act on 4 directions

1. Dezvoltarea de competențe în economia circulară, tehnologii informatice (ICT) și finanțare socială pentru cel puțin 500 de persoane care lucrează în întreprinderi sociale sau organizații ce activează în sectorul economiei sociale din România.
2. Consolidarea parteneriatelor responsabile între entitățile economiei sociale, mediul de afaceri, autoritățile publice și universități în cadrul clusterului „Acceleratorul de Întreprinderi Sociale”.
3. Transfer de know-how în domeniul economiei circulare – de la întreprinderile sociale din Norvegia la sectorul economiei sociale din România.
4. Maparea sectorului de economie socială și a nevoilor întreprinderilor sociale din România, în contextul transpunerii Planului de Acțiune European pentru Dezvoltarea Economiei Sociale, aprobat în decembrie 2021 de Comisia Europeană.

1. Skills development in the circular economy, information technologies (ICT) and social financing for at least 500 people working in social enterprises or organizations active in the social economy sector in Romania.
2. Fostering partnerships between social economy entities, companies, public authorities and universities within the “Social Enterprise Accelerator” cluster.
3. Transfer of know-how in the circular economy field
4. Mapping the social economy sector and the needs of social enterprises in Romania.

Activities within SEEDing

The activities of the SEEDing project target at least 100 social enterprises, mainly in the ICT and green industry, and the employees of these enterprises.

Participation in these events is free, with prior registration. The launch of registrations will be announced on Facebook.

Study visits to social enterprises in Norway and Romania

In April 2024, 30 people (including from Norway) will visit social enterprises in Iasi.

In October 2023, participants in the circular economy training in Bucharest, organized by Ateliere fara Frontiere (AFF) will make a study visit to the circular economy workshops owned by the association.

In February 2024, 8 project beneficiaries (companies and social enterprises), together with the project partners, will go to Oslo, Norway.

“Accelerator of Social Enterprises Gala”

An award event for social enterprises in the green and ICT sector will take place during the social economy conference that ADV Romania will organize on April 17. The enterprises that will participate in the competition will have the opportunity to participate in a Business Matching Event (which will also take place on the day of the conference) and will benefit from mentoring in the circular economy offered by AFF.

Mapping the social economy sector in Romania and Norway

Within the framework of the project, an analysis of the social economy sector in Romania will be carried out, the Map of Social Enterprises will be expanded and it will be updated with a new section dedicated to social enterprises from Norway.
